Shirt folding in 2-seconds. Like, seriously, it works. I think folding laundry will be much easier and much more amusing.

An Update
Okay, well.
Good evening.
I intended my last blog post to be an update on life n' things. It wasn't, really.
So hopefully this one will be!
Things that are going on in...
School
Grad. Lots of talk about it, assemblies, money being spent.
Applying for university. Straight up scary.
Report card. End of term rush to bump up the grades.
Musical. My school is doing 'Fame' this year. I'm not involved, but my friends are.
Booster Juice. Now being served on Thursdays. So awesome.
Home
Messy room. This seems to be a reoccurring theme for Tori and I. What a shame.
Excess of books. Why do we have so many 'Nancy Drew' and 'Hardy Boys'? Can we get rid of them yet?
Strange mix of good and bad food. Some days the fridge rocks, other days, not so much.
TV. Olympics is the thing right now. My sister has the hots for The Flying Tomato.
Chores. I owe my parents money.
Employment
*crickets chirping*
sigh.
Personal
Bought a grad dress today. Next is getting my date a suit. Awesome.
Babysitting a lot. Love hangin' with the kids.
Helping out around church. Particularly with the Middle School Kids. So amazing.
Sleeping is hit and miss lately. Some nights its good. Others its bad. Haven't figured out a pattern yet.
And that is what is goin' on with me, peeps.
What's new with you?

September!
So.
For those of you who aren't paying attention to the current scene...
School has started. And, yes, today was my first day of Grade 12. ...so weird.
I can remember (not that it was that long ago) looking up to the grade 12's, thinking they were so grown up and super cool... And I spent the entire day (along with all my friends) repeating over and over "We're in grade 12". It doesn't feel real, and I don't feel like I'm ready for it. Which makes me wonder... Did the students I looked up to feel the same way as me? Strange.
Anyway, what I'm actually trying to say is that, with the coming of school, many other things start up too (speaking of which, I'm returning to rowing - yay!). So, the blog may fall off the radar sometimes...
Cause, you know, grad's have important things to do. Like English Lit homework. And staying out till 3 (that was last night). And decorating binders with awesome geeky things (pictures to come--tonight's activity!). And, you know, stuff.
I am sure that I'll keep my thoughts flowing (cause I know y'all will be lost without me) but I just thought I'd give you a bit of a heads up so you don't think I've fallen in a hole, or something like that.
I wish you all a happy September, and good luck with the fall busy-ness!

lately
This is me.
and lately I have been...
...getting better sleep (like 5 hours a night!)
...reading Harry Potter to my sister.
...cleaning my rooms like the queen is about to visit.
...playing with raw meat.
...contemplating metaphors for life.
...allowing myself to cry and feel sad.
...consuming too much junk food.
...hugging my stuffies (especially Douglas and Snuff).
...taking care of others while taking care of myself.
...hanging out with some amazingly cute kids!
...adding a vocal component to my sisters late-night electric guitar performances.
...texting.
...saying goodbye to people I never planned on saying goodbye to.
...playing countless house of tetris.
...working hard at just being me.

I am stuck in bed.
If this was My World and I was in control, things would be a bit different...
And that, my friends, is just a little glimpse at how awesome the world would be if the world was run by me!
Now is the time of theshow, er, post where I will share some random things with you which I have been enjoying lately!
First off...
Peaches by The Presidents of the United States of America
My sister and I have been enjoying this song, listening to it numerous times this past week. Just today we checked out the video, and had a pretty good laugh...
Next...
Alice and Kev

This is a blog chronicling a Sims game. The 2 characters (father and daughter) in this game have been created so they are homeless. It gives an idea of what life might be like for a person who isn't as well off as we are. I have actually cried over some of the things Alice has gone through... poor Alice...
1000 Awesome Things
'nuff said.
- Only good music would be played on the radio... And music that is fun to sing along to.
- Rooms would clean themselves and fridges would only have yummy food in them.
- The shampoo and conditioner would never run out at different times.
- iPods wouldn't run out of space and "shuffle" would always play the right songs.
- Nightlights wouldn't burn out in the middle of the night.
- Dogs wouldn't smell bad. They'd smell good. Like vanilla. Or cotton candy. Mmm.
- Gum wouldn't lose it's flavour.
- Apples would be in unlimited supply.
And that, my friends, is just a little glimpse at how awesome the world would be if the world was run by me!

Not about Canada Day.
Currently (as in recently doing over the past days, not literally)...
reading: The Bible Jesus Read
Just started it, no thoughts yet. I'll let you know.
listening to: Jack Johnson's Sing-along and Lullabies
It's a comfort thing. Sure, the songs sound like they're for litle kids, but listen to them. They've got a message.
eating: trail mix and yogurt
And I've started not adding anything to the food I eat--no dressing, condiments, etc. Not sure why...
watching: CSI re-runs
You just don't question a good thing.
thinking about: older siblings
It's a hard job.
finding frustrating: swearing and growing up.
They both just aren't cool.
I've been in and our of hospital lately for my shoulder. And I've been told there's really nothing the doctors can do. So, I've been taking it easy the last few days, even spent a while just chilling in bed. Let me tell you, that was difficult. Difficult, and yet all I could do. The pain has been getting worse each time I dislocate it--frustrating, as each time I dislocate it, it gets easier to dislocate. Hmm. I think I should be put in a bubble... It seems like no where is safe for me these days.
I've been putting a lot of thought lately into 'choices'. We have so many choices we can make, if we choose to. And then, in all the opportunities we do have choices, we can choose to do the right thing, or the wrong thing, or the option thats mainly right but a bit wrong, or the thing that is wrong but not as bad as another choice... It's just a mess. And then, to top it all off, those choice affect not only us, but other people in our lives too. Sometimes, it even affects people we don't even know.
I think lots of people (most commonly in younger people, aka teens, although also people of all ages) underestimate choices. Both the power of our choices and the numbers of our choices. Which really go hand in hand. If you don't realize how many choices you have, you won't always be making the right choice, or even realizing you could make the right choice...
Anyway, that was quite a long preamble for something that could have been said quite simply. I have been feeling more positive lately, and I believe it is because I have made the choice to. I never thought it would work, but I've been proven wrong. Choosing positive really can help life seem better. For me at least.
I have a choice about everything I do. In the same way, I have a choice about everything I don't do. Coming to that realization really changed things... For one, it's made complaining a lot harder. Don't worry though, I still do it a lot more than I should.
Make sure you continue to check in with this blog occasionally... I may or may not have a post planned for sometime over the next few days, and it may or may not be the start of a semi-regular affair...
To finish it off, here are some...
Confessions of a Teenage Girl
I have recently taken a few Facebook quizzes.
When my parents say I have to clean my room before I go out, I sometimes* shove everything in my closet.
I felt like I was enlightened after reading the results to said taken Facebook quizzes.
I love singing Nickleback or Kelly Clarkson at the top of my lungs.
I wish I could be an music artist or a dancer when I grow up.
I occasionally* lie in bed a dream about my future husband.
I sign my diary as if I was talking to a person.
I sleep with stuffed animals.

Oh hello.
So, I have nothing deep or insightful to say today, so instead, I shall share with you some things that you really don't need to know! :D
First of all, I would really like to do this when I'm older...
Next, The Renegade Librarian posted a Spring Appraisal awhile ago, and I would like to follow suit and post my version...
SarahPee's Spring 'Even-Though-it's-Almost-Summer' Appraisal
Things I have in abundance:
stuffed animals that have human names
a witty sense of humor
injuries
advanced math skillz
unused sunday school lesson materials
allergies
artistic ability
wooden disposable cutlery (not sure why...)
good taste in music
grey clothes
sports skills
the ability to do tedious and repetitive jobs
blog posts
Things I lack:
an attention span
good eyesight
a pet who can fetch (although my fish can jump on command)
paints :[
matching socks
tidy bedroom (which could explain the socks)
black pens
super hero abilites
cooking skillz
Overall: It was much harder to think of things that I lack than things I have in abundance. That, I think, is evidence of the blessed life I have. :]
Third: Today I have been listening to lots of music, because no one is home and I can. So far, I've listened to a lot of The Black Crowes, The Hip, Soundtrack to Chronicles of Narnia, and Jack Johnson. Favourite song of the day: Regina Spektor's The Call. Look it up.
Lastly, you will notice some change to the site. I've added a 'Why do I blog' button, which you will have never read before (although I've posted on Why I blog multiple times), and 'About' section, at the bottom of page (which you can get to by clicking 'More stuff', and cool Contact Me form that makes sending me a message super duper easy! You should all contact me with suggestions for how I can make this blog layout better! :D

The Little T-Pro!
Tonight I went to Tim Hortons with my sister, for a nice spot of dinner. After (finally) getting all of our food, we found a place to sit and began eating, as is custom in most fast food places. My sister, being the starving, bottomless pit most 13 year olds are, had ordered a soup and sadwich combo (and took my donut). She was basically double-fisting, sandwich in her left-hand, soup spoon in her right. Suddenly she stopped eating, and started down at her soup.
"This feels weird, because I usually eat with my left hand, and I'm eating with my right!" she said, out of nowhere. Promptly, she set down her sandwich and Took her spoon in her left-hand. She paused for a moment, then declared to herself, "Wait, no I don't!" and continued eating, switching back to spoon in right-hand, sandwich in left.
Believe me, it was funny. Guess you had to be there.
* * *
While I'm talking about me sister, I'm sitting watching a movie with her, and so far, she has smelled her armpit twice in the last half hour. I asked her about it the first time, and she said to check if it was her that stank. She decided it was. I don't know why she smelled it once more.
Wow. We cannot stop laughing right now. So good.
* * *
It's official. I'm getting casted on Thursday. Not the full body, and only for a few days. Still, it's going to be quite the experience... I'm also getting glasses tomorrow... Big week.
I'll make sure to post pictures.

5 things, x 2
Reading through some blogs, thought I'd borrow (aka steal) a post from Michelle...
5 Things the World Would be Better Without
1. Wasps. At least bees die when they sting you.
2. Urban SUVs By this I mean the big off-roader looking things that were never designed to go off road. The "RAV4" type things. Inefficient, unneccesary and pointless. Driven mostly by stay-at-home suburban mothers and wannabe gangsters.
3. Nickelback Y'all know what I mean.
4. Too much ice in drinks We pay big bucks for a refreshing drink and half of it is water (in solid form)!
5.Clocks that are fast/slow/just wrong in general. It's just plain mean.
My own personal addition, in the spirit of positive thinking...
5 Things the World Would be Better With!
1. More Stuffies with Names Like Douglas! And Snuff!
2. Flowers that make music Not only would they smelly pretty, they'd sound pretty too!
3. Clouds with faces Sunny clouds = :] Rain clouds = :[ Awesome, yes?
4. Pretty toilets. Just because everything needs to feel pretty at some point.
5. Scratch n' Sniff stickers Oh wait! They DO exist!

Short post...
I got a fish!
His name is Mr Cornelious Bear.
And he is NOT allowed to be called Sir Crap Bag (which is what my sister insists on calling him). Grr.
He is very cute, and he eats a lot. I don't mind that, cause I think fat fishies are cute.
Pictures will come, I just can't seem to get the memory card to upload pictures... Stupid PC...

Results of the poll are pretty unanimous... Design is liked. And someone *ahem-mowii* likes potatoes. I'm going to be changing a few things on the site, mainly the size of the banner image. Gonna down-size a bit... Also going to try to figure out how to change the pool font colour so that it's easier to read.
New poll up.

You may have (but probably haven't) noticed a new link on the navigation bar... That's right, I have an art site now! After many requests to see art, and getting tired of loading them on to facebook, I've decided to start an Art Blog! Still working on the layout and stuff, but I think it's looking pretty good so far... I'll keep y'all updated on it, cause I know everyone is just dying to see some of my work. :P

One month of school left, including weekends. And then we have exams.
After that, I'm in Grade 12. Scary.
Better start studying, methinks.

May 8th, A good day
I had a really really really great afternoon.
This afternoon was the best part of my week.
So far, it's been the best part of May.
And the people who made it so awesome probably don't even know I loved it.
I was at the library this afternoon, and there was a small 'good-bye' party for Matt, even though he is working tomorrow and has a shift there on Tuesday... It was a 'Good-bye Matt and see you on Tuesday!' party.
ANYWAY, the librarians at Central were having a party (an excuse to eat cake/cookies/chocolate covered strawberres) and they invited me!
Not only did they invite me, but they talked to me!
Librarians and people who worked at the library made me feel right at home (which is suiting, as I spend almost as much time at the library as I do at home...) But, seriously, it was so AWESOME. Like, just being invited to come to their special little get-together, and then be acknowledged... Sounds like I'm really lame or something, but it was seriously the highlight of my week.
:]
I'm glad it happened. I'll stop sharing how AMAZING my afternoon was, because I'm sure all of you are jealous now. I just needed to tell someone how much I love the library and how awesome it, and the people there, are.
Oh, and did anyone notice the beautiful sunshine today? Definitely longboarded home from the library, which added to the awesomeness of the day. :]

Wow. It's pouring. Just in time for my Physics Phamily to head to Playland for Physics Day at the PNE. Heading to the school bright and early tomorrow to go to Vancouver... Hopefully the rain will ease up at least a bit by then...
* * *
Speaking of Vancouver, just got back from White Rock for my Uncle and (new) Aunt's wedding! It was a great time, although being a bridesmaid was A LOT more difficult and tiring than I expected. 2 and a half hours of hair and forty-five minutes of makeup.. DEFINITELY never done that before. Hanging out in a strapless dress for 13 hours... It was a lot of fun. Got to meet some great people and I'm sure my family will be talking about the occasion for years to come.
* * *
I GOT A BUNNY!
I was walking home through UVic today (not something I usually do) and there was this cute little bunny sitting under a tree... So I slowly approached him, sat down, and talked to him for a bit. Eventually, he started coming a bit closer, and then I offered him an apple slice. That sealed the deal. I now have an ADORABLE bunny rabbit, named Wabbit. Very cute. I think he's a Netherlands Dwarf, for anyone who is wondering.

You gotta admit, he's pretty cute.
* * *
Hopefully little Wabbit will have a friend soon... My mommy says I can get a fishy! I'm planning on getting a Siamese Fighting Fish, as I received the PERFECT fish bowl as a gift recently.
I'll need to think of a good name... Suggestions?

Hopefully little Wabbit will have a friend soon... My mommy says I can get a fishy! I'm planning on getting a Siamese Fighting Fish, as I received the PERFECT fish bowl as a gift recently.
I'll need to think of a good name... Suggestions?

Haven't heard from me in a while, but...
I'm not sure if this makes me crazy or not, but to me, this seriously looks like one of the coolest things ever...
And I think if I were ever presented the chance to do this, I would.
Man. How rad would that be...

Uh...
Ever have those days where you have lots to say, but you don't know how to say it?
Or you're supposed to do things but you're tired and so it makes them difficult?
Or you've been thinking about something for so long that now you can't get it past the 'thought' stage so it just stays trapped in your brain?
Or getting an average of 3 hours of sleep each night is starting to wear you down and so all your thoughts get confused and scrambled, and even though you want to untangle them, you don't have enough energy to do so?
Yea, I've had those days.
